This afternoon our Year 4 parents joined us to make Ancient Egyptian Canpic jars. These jars were used to store the organs removed from dead bodies during the mummification process.

We created our jars by covering glass jars in masking tape and metallic tissue paper. We moulded a head from tinfoil and scrunched up paper to represent one of the 4 symbols found on top of canopic jars and then covered it with masking tape and metallic paper too. Finally we added detail to our design with pens. They look beautiful, don't they?
