During the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday, all eight Year 4 House Captains took the poppy boxes around classes each day and children were able to buy poppies, wristbands and stickers to raise money for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Six of our House Captains also attended the Frome Remembrance Service at the Memorial Theatre, laying a wreath by the memorial on behalf of the whole St John's School community.
Beatrice, Frida, Lilly and Élodie read the poem, 'In Flanders Fields' as part of the service. We were very proud of the way they read with confidence in front of such a very large crowd.
On Monday 11th at 11am, we marked Armistice Day with 2 minutes silence together in the hall, or in classes.
