Jamia Mosque Trip - Year 3

Children in Year 3 went on a fascinating trip to Bristol Jamia Mosque. They were greeted by the Imam, who gave them a comprehensive tour of the mosque, explaining the five pillars of Islam, the history of the mosque in Bristol, and various traditions.

The children sat on the prayer mats, which faced towards Mecca, and they asked lots of insightful questions. The Imam kindly answered all of them, helping the children to learn all about the mosque and the Muslim way of life.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to enrich their classroom learning this term.

After their time at the mosque, the children went to the park for a picnic lunch, followed by some playtime in the playground.
